The closest Metro Station is Cataluña (lines 1 and 3) and the train station is Plaza de Cataluña, where the trains coming from the airport stop. It is also very close to the Aerobus bus stop (the Aerobus is a shuttle bus between the airport and Plaza de Cataluña). |

to reach the hotel Motorways and toll roads Barcelona is located 150 km from La Jonquera, the French border. The French motorway network connects to the A-7 - C33 Barcelona motorway. You can enter the city via the ring roads or the Avinguda Meridiana which leads to the centre. From the south, if you’re entering from the rest of Spain join the A-2 motorway and enter the city via the Avinguda Diagonal. The Hotel Continental Barcelona is located on top of La Rambla close to Catalunya square, so just when arriving to Barcelona follow sighs “CENTRE CIUTAT” and “ PLAÇA DE CATALUNYA”. Parking rates range from 1.70 and 2€ per hour to around 22€ for a whole day. At some of these car parks you do not have to pay by the hour, you can pay in fractions of 15 and 30 minutes. There are also paid parking areas in the street (blue zones) and charges vary according to the zone. Park-and-ride facilities, intended to dissuade drivers from bringing their vehicles into Barcelona, are located in the Plaça de les Glòries and provide convenient connections with the public transport network. Barcelona by the sea Barcelona has become the Mediterranean’s foremost cruise ship harbour. It has eight passenger terminals, five for cruise liners and three for ferries. It operates services to the Balearic Islands and the main Mediterranean ports. Ferries depart daily for the Balearic Islands and there is a direct service to the port of Genoa.
